Purpose of the Activity: MOPS offers a caring, accepting atmosphere in which Mums have an opportunity to develop friendships, share concerns, explore areas of creativity and benefit from teaching on a wide range of matters relevant to mothering. It also provides “time-out” for Mothers while children attend a separate MOPPETS program.
Needs: We need carers for the children (MOPPETS) as the children are in a separate programme to the Mums. Naturally there are carer – children ratios that need to be kept. We have quite a number of regular carers unable to help this year for various reasons, so are very short at this time. We currently have around 30 children to care for, which requires approx. 9 – 10 carers every fortnight.
Time and Location: Thursdays on a fortnightly basis (alternates with Mums' Bible Study), from 9:30am to 12 Noon during school term at the Church.
